Forklift Driver Agency UK

Counterbalance, reach and VNA forklift drivers, with the accreditation checked before the shift, supplied as temporary cover to operators across the UK.

The problem

Why this seat is hard to fill

Forklift accreditation is the most commonly overstated qualification in warehousing. A licence from an unaccredited provider, or a counterbalance ticket presented for reach truck work, is a serious safety exposure — so the certificate gets checked, not taken on trust.

What we check before anyone is confirmed

  • Forklift certificate from an accredited body — RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent — with the truck category checked against the work.
  • Certificate currency confirmed and re-checked.
  • Right to work verified from original documents.
  • References taken before a first shift.

Shift patterns

Warehouse forklift work runs on fixed shift blocks — usually mornings, afternoons and nights on rotation, with 4-on-4-off common on larger sites.

Pay and rates

PAYE hourly, paid weekly, with the truck type and any shift uplift agreed on the booking. Overtime confirmed up front. Holiday accrues under the Working Time Regulations.

Questions, answered

How fast can you supply a forklift driver?

Same-day cover is possible where the pool allows it and next day is the realistic standard. We would rather decline a booking than confirm one and fail to fill it on the morning.

What do you check before a forklift driver starts?

Forklift certificate from an accredited body — RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent — with the truck category checked against the work. Certificate currency confirmed and re-checked. Right to work verified from original documents. References taken before a first shift. Licence entitlements are re-checked every 90 days for as long as a worker is on our books.

How are temporary forklift drivers paid and invoiced?

PAYE hourly, paid weekly, with the truck type and any shift uplift agreed on the booking. Overtime confirmed up front. Holiday accrues under the Working Time Regulations. Hours are logged against the booking as a digital timesheet, which you approve or reject with a reason and approved timesheets roll into one consolidated weekly invoice.

Do the Agency Workers Regulations apply?

Yes. After 12 weeks in the same role with the same hirer, an agency worker qualifies for equal treatment on pay and basic conditions. We count that from the first shift and tell you before the threshold lands, not after.
